We have two sessions annually: September to mid-December and February to mid-May. All sessions are open to both women and men. Applications are now being accepted for the Sangre Sessions of September 2008 and beyond. There is currently a small waiting list for the September 2008 session.

A reading of our Prospectus will give you a sense of the movement of the program. It can also help determine just where the Sangre Program might fit your plans for ongoing formation. The age range of our participants is approximately the forties to the upper-sixties with an assumption of at least one more decade of future apostolic service in religious life or diocesan priesthood. The program is not a pre-retirement program: the current age limit for a participant beginning the program is 70.

The Input page lists presentations which are a part of the program. These may vary somewhat from session to session. However, there is much more to the program than the input presentations. Sangre is not an academic program but rather an experiential one in a community setting.

Financial assistance is available toward tuition. Please contact us to see whether we can help eliminate finances as an obstacle to your participation in the Sangre program.

After reviewing the program information if you feel led to apply for the Sangre experience, you may begin your application from our website. Please note the following:

1. The required medical exam may call for a stress electrocardiogram because of the altitude here.

2. Applications are considered for acceptance by the staff only when all registration procedures are complete. Your file will be opened when your first document is received, but it is not possible to "hold" a place for you before you have completed the registration process and are accepted.

3. While dates of the next several sessions are listed, the program charges stated apply only to the sessions indicated. Charges are set by our Board each spring for the following year's sessions.

4. A $50 registration fee must be sent for all applications, including those requesting financial assistance.

5.A photo is requested for identification purposes.

The Sangre Program has been in operation, and in steady evolution, for over forty-five years. It has added significantly to the lives and ministries of well over two thousand participants.
